Hush
Dayton Metro LIbrary / Broadcast Video
For the Dayton Metro Library, I conceived and wrote a spot that turns the cliche of the shushing librarian on its head, transforming the “shush” into the seed of a beat, picked up by clicking mice, stamping checkouts, turning pages, live music, and the rhythmic energy of a community library in full swing. The result is a video that reframes what a modern library actually is: not a place of silence, but a place alive with diverse people, activities, and possibility.
I developed the concept, wrote the script, directed on set, and gave feedback through the edit. The spot ran as part of a successful levy campaign for the Dayton Metro Library.
